RV Adventures
… glamp-ing thru the Western U.S.
- Tips, reviews, adventures, cool places we’ve visited off on the roads less and heavily traveled
- We don’t love crowds or people
- We love hot springs, cold water, nature and weird shit
- We don’t backpack, bike and prefer not to sweat.
- Our idea of “hiking” is a pleasant walk without sweating
- We prefer places with full hookups
- IF we dry camp or boondock it’s out of necessity or it’s a novelty
- Sometimes we bring The Teen or a dog or two
- We don’t claim ANY expertise – we just try, fail and succeed as we go!

New Mexico State Park Series: Bottomless Lakes State Park
In July of 1936 the 8, small, natural fed lakes in south eastern New Mexico and the surrounding wetlands became the first New Mexico State Park. New Mexico State Park Series: Storrie Lake State Park
Last summer, soon after pandemic started and I made my goal to visit all of the state parks in New Mexico, I found out that R’s dad made a daytrip to Storrie Lake State Park. Color me surprised! I guess I was wrong about him not being the outdoorsy type. He told her that it was a short drive (it’s about 2 hours from Albuquerque) and that they just sat by the lake in the lovely weather and read their books! My dad taught me to enjoy a lot of things about the outdoors but sitting by a lake or river or stream and reading a book is very high on my list of favorite outdoor activities.
